Programs and Initiatives

  Nevada Biodiversity Initiative (NBI)

The primary purpose of the Nevada Biodiversity Initiative (NBI) is to conserve the rich and diverse biological resources in the state. These resources include functional, healthy, and sustainable natural ecosystems, a full complement of native species, and sufficient genetic variation within these species to allow them to persist and evolve. We believe these goals can be accomplished in conjunction with human societal needs.
